3 Revolutions Future Mobility Program
Handy, Susan L. (2017) Active Transportation in an Era of Sharing, Electrification and Automation. Institute of Transportation Studies, University of California, Davis, Research Report UCD-ITS-RR-17-57
Revolutionary change is happening within and around active travel modes. Sharing and electrification of bikes, scooters, and skateboards could complement auto electrification, automation, and sharing. Prioritizing safety, implementing sustainable planning, and reinventing our built environment with bikes and walking in mind will ensure that active travel modes benefit from and in turn support the three revolutions.
